Internship - Radio News
The Role
The radio news intern will work directly with the news director, managing editor, reporters and digital staff to create and produce content for our station.
Responsibilities
- Gain audio and digital experience in public media broadcasting and news content
- Create and produce content for on-air and digital platforms
- Conduct interviews and cover news
- Participate in broadcast projects
- Perform various ad hoc projects as assigned
Requirements
Enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in a communications, marketing, journalism, or related field
Familiarity and general interest in audio production and its digital distribution, community journalism, reaching underserved populations
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office or similar programs
Creative, approachable, team-focused, professional demeanor
Qualifications
No coffee-fetchers or copy-masters need apply

Benefits
This is an unpaid internship for course credit from an accredited college/university program
Internship documentation or agreement from the school is required
Schedule
Hours are flexible and work may be hybrid - a blend of remote and in-office work
