WORKING CONDITIONS

• A majority of time will be spent in an office environment
• The individual must be able to speak and communicate clearly, both orally and in writing
• The intern may be required to sit for extended periods and will spend a portion of their time on the telephone
• Must be able to bend, stoop, walk, and lift and push minimal loads at various times
• A considerable amount of time may also be spent working on a computer so the intern should have close vision ability
• The individual must be able to operate basic office equipment

Qualifications

• Interns must be currently pursuing a Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage & Family Therapy
• Prior to beginning internship, the candidate must obtain license in the State of Ohio as a Social Work Trainee (SWT), Counseling Trainee (CT), or Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee (MFTT)
• If seeking a Practicum placement, must be willing to commit to remaining at Riveon Mental Health and Recovery through the duration of their internship (the full school year)
• Prior experience in assessment, crisis intervention, conducting long and short-term therapy and counseling or other experience in the treatment of mental health/addictions are preferred
• Must have strong oral and written skills
• Basic computer skills required, including familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office
