Responsibilities

• Work under the direct supervision of engineering staff and be assigned to construction projects.
• Assist with construction inspection on storm sewer, roadway, asphalt or concrete pavement, curb and gutter, measuring quantities, documentation, maintaining records, survey, and other duties.
• Support design projects in preparation of plans, data collection, writing reports, and computing quantities.
• Collect traffic data as well as inspection and maintenance of highway culverts and bridges.
• Position may require overtime and out-of-town travel (typically within 60 miles of the office).

Requirements

• In pursuit of a civil engineering degree.
• Reliable means of transportation to travel to office locations and project sites.
• A valid driver’s license and good driving record is required.

Skills

• Construction, municipal, roadway, traffic, or structural experience is beneficial.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
