Application terms: Spring: Jan. 1st to May 31st (deadline Dec. 1st) • Summer: May 1st to Sept. 30th (deadline April 1st) • Fall: Sept. 1st to Jan. 31st (deadline Aug. 1st). Start and end dates are flexible to accommodate school requirements and other commitments.
About The Position
The Claremont Institute is seeking enthusiastic, hard-working, intellectually curious candidates to intern at our office in Upland, CA. Interns will assist staff in Claremont’s Center for Political Philosophy & Statesmanship, Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence, or Claremont Review of Books. We provide training and guidance to each intern, as well as the opportunity to work in an environment deeply immersed in the principles of the American Founding. The position is part-time, up to 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities

- Assistance in writing legal briefs
- Event planning
- Assistance with mailings

Requirements
- Organizational skills
- A keen eye for detail
- A methodical approach to research
- Excellent writing abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- A passion for the mission of the Claremont Institute and a desire to advance its mission to recover and restore limited constitutional government
- Study and/or knowledge of American history and politics preferred
Pay
Internships are paid, and college credit may be available.
