This position is expected to start around January or February 2027 and continue through the entire Spring term (ending approximately May 2027 or later, if available). We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program. Recent graduates should apply for full-time positions, not internships.

International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

About The Team

Our team is focused on optimizing space, finding solutions for immediate expansion needs, and driving long-term strategy with a guiding principle of sustainability. You'll work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders, including end users, construction engineering, and manufacturing engineering, while tracking project schedules and overall success.

Possible locations: Austin, TX; Buffalo, NY; Fremont, CA; Lathrop, CA; Sparks, NV.

Responsibilities

Your application will be considered for the following teams:

  • Architecture and Design:
    • Support the design development process from test fit and concept design.
    • Manage survey and due diligence with external consultants.
    • Coordinate technical and business needs from stakeholders and transform them into concept drawings based on site-specific conditions.
    • Support prototype updates and block development.
    • Review construction documents and shop drawings.
  • Structural Engineer:
    • Support the design and construction of new and renovated industrial, manufacturing, and office facilities.
    • Work with multidisciplinary project teams, including Mechanical, Electrical, Piping/Plumbing (MEP), Civil, and Architectural professionals.
    • Conduct structural analysis and design of concrete and steel structures.
    • Create justifying structural calculations.
    • Complete field work independently or with the design team.
    • Support preparation of design drawings, plans, sections, details, and schedules in Revit.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and through drawings/sketches.
  • For Architecture interns:
    • Working knowledge of US building codes.
    • Proficient in Revit and familiar with AutoCAD. Additional software competencies are a plus.
  • For Structural interns:
    • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Test taken/passed.
    • Experience with Revit, Revit Structural, RISA 3D, RAM, or ETABs.
    • Primary structural coursework completed prior to the start of the internship.

Previous internship and project experience is a plus but not required.
