Responsibilities
- Provide audit support during the bank-wide IRBA implementation and ensure quality assurance throughout the project phase.
- Assess the appropriateness and effectiveness of processes, controls, and methods, including reviewing model changes to rating procedures.
- Conduct risk-oriented audits focusing on IRBA, credit risk monitoring, and rating procedures during ongoing operations.
- Analyze quantitative models and evaluate data quality and data management within the regulatory environment.
- Prepare audit reports, track agreed-upon measures, and collaborate closely with risk controlling, credit risk monitoring, and external auditors.
Requirements
- Completed degree in economics, business mathematics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a comparable field—or alternatively, a banking apprenticeship with relevant professional development.
- Initial professional experience (ideally two to five years) in a bank, auditing, management consulting, or internal audit.
- Solid understanding of credit risk processes, such as credit approval, monitoring, rating procedures, and value adjustments, as well as internal control systems.
- Enjoyment of analytical challenges and a willingness to engage with the evaluation of quantitative models and regulatory requirements like MaRisk, CRR, and EBA guidelines.
- Structured, independent, and solution-oriented work approach, combined with strong analytical thinking and high communication and persuasive skills.
