International Trade & Compliance Manager

What you'll be doing:

• Develop, implement, and oversee global trade compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs laws, trade agreements, and sanctions programs.
• Maintain and update trade compliance manuals, procedures, and documentation.
• Review and approve international shipments for compliance with applicable regulations.
• Oversee customs brokers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers.
• Support customs audits, investigations, and regulatory inquiries.
• Manage export classifications, Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications, and country-of-origin determinations.
• Conduct internal compliance audits and risk assessments.
• Identify potential compliance gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Investigate trade compliance violations and develop remediation plans.
• Maintain records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Develop and deliver trade compliance training programs for employees.
• Serve as the primary subject matter expert on international trade regulations.
• Collaborate with legal, finance, procurement, and supply chain teams to support business objectives.
• Provide guidance to business units regarding import/export activities and trade compliance requirements.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and compliance metrics.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and due diligence activities from a trade compliance perspective.

What you need to be successful:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into practical business guidance.
• Project/Change management and leadership capabilities.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and trade compliance software.
