International Tax Manager
About the role
Oversee international tax engagements from planning to delivery, ensuring tasks and projects meet deadlines and client expectations.
Acquire a deep understanding of clients' industries and businesses.
Drive strategic international tax planning, structuring, and consulting projects for multinational clients.
Review and approve complex international tax compliance filings and ensure alignment with firm standards and risk management policies.
Oversee international tax calculations and modeling, including GILTI, Subpart F, FDII, BEAT, and foreign tax credit optimization.
Lead coordination with global member firms, foreign affiliates, and external advisors across jurisdictions.
Provide final technical review and guidance on complex or ambiguous international tax issues.
Proactively identify tax savings and planning opportunities to add value to client engagements.
Maintain deep expertise in international tax law, OECD developments, and emerging global tax trends.
Prepare, review, and manage staff deliverables including tax returns, extensions, tax planning calculations, and write-up work for all entity types (individual, C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, multi-state, etc.).
Manage and monitor client deliverables and due dates.
Prepare and review complex U.S. and multi-state/international income tax returns for business entities, including consolidated and nonconsolidated C-corporations, S-Corporations, and Partnerships.
Conduct complex international tax research and prepare memorandum outlining findings and conclusions.
Communicate with and respond to the IRS and state agencies on behalf of clients in connection with audits, inquiries, and tax notices.
Delegate projects to staff that can handle them most efficiently and provide accounting and tax assistance to staff as needed.
Communicate directly with existing clients, colleagues, management, and IRS representatives regarding various tax matters.
Aid in business development efforts, including but not limited to, meeting with prospective and existing clients, preparing fee quotes and proposals, and evaluating clients’ needs.
Engage in consulting with and completing special projects as requested by/for Management and Clients.

Requirements
CPA or EABachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting
7+ years of experience in public accounting with exposure to individual, corporate and partnership taxation
Qualifications
Deep understanding of international tax law, OECD developments, and emerging global tax trends.
Experience with complex international tax planning, structuring, and consulting projects for multinational clients.
Ability to lead coordination with global member firms, foreign affiliates, and external advisors across jurisdictions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain deep expertise in international tax law, OECD developments, and emerging global tax trends.
Experience with complex international tax research and preparation of memoranda.
Ability to communicate with and respond to the IRS and state agencies on behalf of clients in connection with audits, inquiries, and tax notices.

Pay
Starting salary range for this position is between $120-170k, and will be finalized based on the candidate's years of experience and local cost of labor
