Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Distributes daily e-forms to student advisors.
- Maintains internal documentation for daily tasks and templated messaging.
- Serves as a resource for international students and scholars who visit the office in person.
- Takes on additional tasks or projects to contribute to the team's success.
General Responsibilities
- Serves as the primary point of contact for international students and scholars, academic departments, and other clients.
- Reviews and responds to inquiries related to immigration regulations and OIS procedures.
- Administers initial review of various documents and e-forms for international students, scholars, and departments.
- Works with staff to ensure client needs are met efficiently.
- Maintains working knowledge of immigration regulations and procedures.
- Processes and troubleshoots e-forms and other requests from international students and scholars.
- Aids in training new staff on university and office policies and procedures.
- Provides general administrative support to the Office of International Services and other special projects.
Qualifications
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience: 2 years of related office experience.
- Preferred: 2 years of experience handling complex customer service situations in a university setting.
- Experience: Experience with federal regulations governing international students and scholars.
