Department-Specific Responsibilities

  • Distributes daily e-forms to student advisors.
  • Maintains internal documentation for daily tasks and templated messaging.
  • Serves as a resource for international students and scholars who visit the office in person.
  • Takes on additional tasks or projects to contribute to the team's success.

General Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for international students and scholars, academic departments, and other clients.
  • Reviews and responds to inquiries related to immigration regulations and OIS procedures.
  • Administers initial review of various documents and e-forms for international students, scholars, and departments.
  • Works with staff to ensure client needs are met efficiently.
  • Maintains working knowledge of immigration regulations and procedures.
  • Processes and troubleshoots e-forms and other requests from international students and scholars.
  • Aids in training new staff on university and office policies and procedures.
  • Provides general administrative support to the Office of International Services and other special projects.

Qualifications

  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience: 2 years of related office experience.
  • Preferred: 2 years of experience handling complex customer service situations in a university setting.
  • Experience: Experience with federal regulations governing international students and scholars.
