International Operations Representative
Purpose Of Your Work
As an International Operations Representative working within Managed Services (one of our entities), you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of our international logistics operations. You will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the movement of ocean and air cargo, from booking to delivery, while maintaining the highest standards of efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
How You Make a Difference Everyday
- Cook up and oversee the booking of shipments with agents, carriers, co-loaders, and others ensuring timely scheduling and allocation of resources.
- Communicate with customers, carriers, and vendors to obtain necessary documentation, shipping instructions, and other relevant information.
- Monitor and track shipments throughout the transportation process, proactively addressing any issues or delays that may arise.
- Collaborate with customs brokers, internally or externally, to ensure compliance with import/export regulations and documentation requirements.
- Cook up and coordinate with importer or exporter to arrange for loading, unloading, and other activities as needed.
- Provide support to the international leadership team preparing pricing, quotes, and proposals for existing and potential customers.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, and other documentation using our internal systems.
- Aid in the resolution of billing discrepancies, disputes, and other operational issues as they arise.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continually improve operational efficiency.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive process improvements and enhance customer satisfaction.
You’ve Got This
- Previous experience in international operations, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in the freight forwarding industry.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using logistics software, Cargowise, TMS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations, INCO terms, and customs procedures is advantageous.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Work Schedule
This position is full-time and hybrid Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with an hour break, but flexibility is available based on coverage.
Compensation Range
Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000
This position is eligible to earn annual incentives based on individual and company performance. The estimated pay range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the geographical location in which the applicant lives and/or which they will be performing the job.
