International Logistics Specialist- Special Commodities

Location: Boise, ID – hybrid work-from-home/office model with at least three days in the office weekly.

Salary Range: $50,000 to $56,000

About the role

This position is responsible for the successful booking, oversight, and execution of Special Commodities cargo being exported out of North America. Specialists will liaise with internal stakeholders and accounts to optimize and coordinate cargo movement, execute marketing strategies, and resolve problems.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and accounts to optimize cargo movement and execute marketing strategies
  • Coordinate problem resolution for Special Commodities cargo
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Apply critical thinking, sound decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing business needs
  • Maintain strong interpersonal skills and team awareness
  • Be responsive, dependable, and follow through on commitments
  • Adjust daily to meet business needs and team goals

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of rail, vessel, and terminal operations
  • Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers with accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness
  • Respond to business and customer demands clearly, accurately, and timely in a caring manner
  • Experience with G Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Strong, accurate data entry skills
  • Knowledge of IMDG and 49CFR regulations (helpful but not required)
  • 1+ years of function-related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (preferred but not required)
