International Italy Practice Associate
About the role
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven team player, (preferably with at least six years’ of US law experience) to join our Group.
Responsibilities
- Provide business-minded general legal counsel and representation to clients in support of their day-to-day operations, in the areas of general corporate, commercial, intellectual property, among others, in collaboration with attorneys from other groups of the Firm.
- Review, draft and negotiate a wide variety of legal documentation including distribution agreements, sales representation agreements, consulting contracts, public relations services agreements, logistics services agreements, credit applications, intellectual property transfer and license agreements, celebrity endorsement agreements, general terms and conditions of sale, retail policies, stock transfer agreements, and joint venture agreements.
- Review and revise advertising, marketing, and sales materials for legal related issues.
- Draft, review, and negotiate corporate documents, including charter documents, by-laws, and corporate minutes.
- Aid shareholders, directors, and officers in connection with corporate governance matters.
- Draft memoranda on various aspects of U.S. law.
- Assist the firm’s Litigation Group with dispute resolution matters, debt collection matters and sensitive customer complaints.
- Interface with tax advisors, auditors, and foreign lawyers.
- Delegating work to and reviewing the work of junior attorneys.
Qualifications and required skills
- Fluency in Italian (verbally and written).
- Excellent drafting, research, analytical, critical thinking, reasoning, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Be highly responsive and possess a strong work ethic.
- Be committed to providing exceptional client service and top-quality work product.
- Extremely motivated with stellar academic credentials, and commitment to excellence.
- Proactive self-starter, a creative problem solver who takes ownership of executing tasks without close or little supervision.
- Has the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working well under pressure within time constraints and able to prioritize a broad range of work with strong multitasking skills while meeting each deadline.
- Display an intellectual curiosity for the business and can quickly earn the trust and respect of internal and external clients.
- Must be admitted to practice in the State of New York.

Compensation & benefits
- The good faith base annual salary range for this position is a minimum $130,000 to a maximum of $215,000.
- The actual salary rate offered to candidates within that range will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, years of relevant experience, applicable education/certification(s), office location, and the candidate's overall qualifications for the position as assessed by the Firm.
- Market and Firm factors are also considered.
