Job Summary

Toast creates technology to help restaurants and local businesses succeed in a digital world, offering financial products and services including payment processing, commercial loans, banking products, and more. We are expanding internationally and are now hiring an experienced, mid-level attorney to join our Legal team.

What You'll Do

• Advise cross-functional business stakeholders on multi-national financial laws and regulations
• Draft and negotiate strategic partnership agreements and other commercial contracts
• Research, analyze, and respond to legal and regulatory questions regarding financial products and services
• Represent Legal on cross-functional teams to help design and implement financial products
• Review multi-channel advertising materials for compliance with applicable laws and best practices

Requirements

• A degree from an ABA-accredited law school, or the equivalent in your jurisdiction
• 5+ years of legal experience advising corporate clients on international financial products and services
• Experience with financial services regulations in the UK, Ireland, Canada, and/or Australia
• Strong knowledge of financial laws and regulations and best practices across multiple international territories
• Subject matter expertise in the payments space and experience with banking products

Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range based on skills, experience, and geographic location. The base salary range for this role is listed below:

• Zone A: $205,000—$249,000 USD
• Zone B: $178,000—$232,000 USD
• Zone C: $160,000—$218,000 USD

The position is located in one of the following areas: Boston, New York, Washington D.C., San Francisco, or Chicago. Candidates residing in these areas will be prioritized.
