About the role

Sensient Technologies is seeking an International Customer Service Representative to join their Colors Group business in St. Louis. This position will work cooperatively with team members to service internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for order administration, processing, follow-up, contract review, problem resolution, and customer requests for multiple business units and both internal and external customers.
  • Accurately and efficiently process customer transactions such as orders, quotes, debits, credits or returns.
  • Communicate with planners and shipping personnel and manage certain shipping functions to ensure on-time deliveries and advise customers of delays if needed.
  • Review production and shipping schedules to determine impact on customers' expected deliveries.
  • Perform a variety of customer and logistics transactions such as order entry, processing, follow-up, shipment consolidation, and applicable export paperwork.
  • Work with account managers, product managers, sales administrative staff as well as shipping, production and lab to resolve discrepancies/missing information.
  • Collaborate with Global Procurement and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and address any supply chain disruptions.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred, along with 3 years of customer service and/or logistics experience.
  • Strong communication skills, including ability to capture the detail of a situation and communicate accurately, professionally and completely, verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining high degrees of attention to detail, accuracy and poise.
  • Effective personal time management and organization skills.
  • Solid proficiency in JD Edwards (JDE) and experience in a Microsoft Office environment (Word, Excel, Power Point) is desired.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in a customer service or logistics role preferred.
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards and Microsoft Office is beneficial but not required.
