International Compliance Intern

About the role

The International Compliance Intern supports international sales order processing, export documentation, and customer satisfaction at Actus Nutrition. They learn and adhere to import requirements across various countries while enhancing team efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and/or create required international documents accurately and in a timely manner to meet any deadlines
• Maintain current updates on all in-process shipments for operational tracking purposes
• Crosstrain on all countries and all documents to allow proper backups across the international compliance team
• Work closely with the international customer service team members to ensure all data and details related to international orders are up to date
• Stay up to date on countries' import requirements
• Help answer customer requests and inquiries
• Process for customer complaints regarding compliance issues
• Complete export document requests for other business units when required
• Develop and maintain a sound working relationship with others in Sales as well as other customer service teams
• Leverage available technology, automation, and AI tools to improve personal productivity, data accuracy, and workflow efficiency, with training and support provided
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and bring ideas forward for discussion and development

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, time-management, attention to detail, communication, and team collaboration skills
• Service and continuous improvement oriented
• Demonstrates curiosity and comfort using technology, including exposure to AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, or similar), automation, or data tools to help solve problems or work more efficiently
• Comfortable working with systems and tools, with the ability and willingness to learn ERP systems, order management platforms, and reporting tools
• Customer service and international shipping experience are preferred
• Bonus: Can describe an example (academic, internship, or work-related) where technology, automation, or AI was used to improve a process or solve a problem
