Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for multiple international entities.
- Prepare and post complex journal entries, including intercompany transactions, transfer pricing allocations, accruals, foreign currency revaluations, and tax-related entries.
- Perform detailed balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items independently.
- Manage intercompany reconciliations across multiple countries and legal entities.
- Cook up international corporate income tax, VAT/GST, and statutory filing requirements with external accounting and tax advisors.
- Support external audits, tax audits, and internal audits, including preparation of supporting schedules and documentation.
- Prepare financial analyses, variance explanations, and management reporting.
- Review payroll-related journal entries prepared from external payroll provider information.
- Serve as a key finance contact for external auditors, tax advisors, accounting firms, banks, government agencies, and internal stakeholders worldwide.
- Identify accounting risks, compliance concerns, and process improvement opportunities.
- Document and improve accounting processes and controls.
- Support special projects and international business initiatives as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of international accounting experience in a multinational environment.
- Strong experience with international tax compliance, statutory reporting, and external audits.
- Hands-on SAP S/4HANA Finance experience.
- Experience with multi-currency accounting, foreign exchange transactions, intercompany accounting, and transfer pricing.
- Experience working directly with external accounting firms, tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and international accounting principles.
- Expertise in complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of international tax compliance, including corporate tax and VAT/GST requirements.
- Advanced SAP S/4HANA Finance skills (App version).
- Highly independent self-starter who requires minimal day-to-day supervision.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research capabilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders across multiple countries and time zones.
