International Accountant

Essential Functions

• Review and process international financial transactions and payments
• Manage foreign exchange transactions and currency conversions
• Gather and translate financial statements of global entities into USD for consolidated reporting
• Analyze and interpret international financial data and trends
• Aid with the preparation of international tax returns and filings
• Collaborate with foreign subsidiaries to streamline accounting processes
• Monitor and report on international account balances and discrepancies
• Support international budgeting and forecasting activities
• Aid in the development and implementation of international accounting policies and procedures
• Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations between global entities
• Prepare and analyze financial metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) for international operations
• Support international financial planning and analysis initiatives
• Process expense reports and deal with fraudulent charges when necessary

Work Environment

A professional office environment. This position requires competency in using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

Classification/Expected Hours of Employment

This position is a full-time position and is exempt from minimum wage and overtime pay requirements under federal and all applicable state or local laws. Days and hours of work are generally 8:00am to 5:00pm, with some extended hours needed as seasonal demands may vary.

Travel

This position does not require any travel.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting with a focus on international finance
• Strong understanding of foreign exchange transactions and currency conversions
• Intermediate computer and software skills required
• Knowledge of agricultural terminology is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
