About the role
We hire Internal Sales Associates multiple times a year. Our next anticipated start date is in Fall 2026. Eligible candidates will have graduated September 2026 or earlier.
Responsibilities
- Support incoming calls from financial advisors around the nation regarding our annuity and life solutions.
- Create a positive advisor experience that enhances our relationships and develops sales opportunities for our distribution teams.
- Develop knowledge of Brighthouse Financial Annuity & Life product lines, systems, and processes.
- Answer and document inbound calls, providing sales support and positioning to financial advisors for our solutions.
- Understand and document licensing, training, firm, state, and application requirements for submissions of business.
- Identify advisor needs on issues, research, and resolve requests, involving other distribution business partners as needed.
- Provide product illustrations and utilize marketing resources to complement advisor engagement.
- Identify sales opportunities on incoming calls and refer to Internal Wholesaler.
- Collaborate with manager to identify areas of development and personal growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Coachable, energetic, and positive attitude.
- Self-motivated, competitive, and driven in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to build and maintain business relationships and demonstrate sales aptitude.
- Organized, adaptable, and able to multitask continuously.
Qualifications
- If not fully licensed, will be expected to obtain the FINRA SIE, Series 6 or 7, and 63, and state Life Insurance license with variable line of authority in their resident state.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain business relationships.
- Proficiency in sales techniques and customer service.
- Knowledge of annuity and life insurance products and systems.

Pay
Compensation – Base salary is $45,900. Once fully licensed, this individual becomes eligible for a competitive monthly variable sales incentive target based on sales results.
