About the role

The Department of Arts, Culture & Technology at Clarkson University seeks adjunct instructors for the Clarkson Seminar, a 3 credit critical thinking and writing course for first year students. This is an interdisciplinary course focused on exploring big themes from multiple perspectives. Each instructor develops their own themes and chooses their own readings.

Responsibilities

  • Teach a 3 credit critical thinking and writing course for first year students
  • Develop themes and choose readings for the course
  • Collaborate with other faculty members within the Arts, Culture, and Technology department

Requirements

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience teaching in higher education preferred

Qualifications

  • Ability to teach in an interdisciplinary setting
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop and deliver engaging lectures and assignments
  • Experience working with diverse student populations
