INTERNAL MEDICINE PHYSICIAN - FACULTY

Responsibilities

• Provides medical care for patients in an ambulatory setting.
• Participates in HonorHealth programs to deliver high value healthcare.
• Affixes to the coordination of various curriculum areas and performs selected administrative duties as assigned.
• Functions as a role model for resident physicians in the clinical practice of internal medicine.
• Participates and develops educational programs for resident physicians and other faculty members.
• Engages in scholarly activities at state, regional, or national levels and assists/supervises such activities for resident physicians.

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O.
• Successful completion of a residency in the practice of Internal Medicine or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics.
• Prior experience as a faculty member in a post-graduate residency training program OR completion of 1 year general internal medicine fellowship or completion of a post-residency Chief Medical Resident position in an Internal Medicine residency program (preferred).
• Eligibility for Arizona State License.
• Board Certification in Internal Medicine, ABIM.

Qualifications

Strong clinical and teaching skills are required.
