About the role

Part-time Internal Medicine Physician position in Warsaw, MO with National Wound Physician Group. Clinical satisfaction, autonomy and flexibility, work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities.

Physicians deliver modern wound management at the bedside in the post-acute care setting: Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals. Our physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility. This is a mobile practice: physicians visit facilities in a 40–60 mile radius of the practice location, typically visiting 2–3 facilities per day and treating approximately 20–30 patients per day. Clinical documentation is completed at point of care in real-time during clinical rounds using our proprietary wound-specific EMR. W2 employment contract; no work visa sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert in wound management, learning from highly qualified wound-certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors.
• Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities.
• Provide bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states.
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at assigned facilities.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice.
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.

Training

Paid training is provided during onboarding plus a 6-month wound care fellowship. Physician-level wound management training and a wound fellowship give you all the knowledge and expertise for clinical excellence.

Schedule

• Part-time role: minimum of 3 days per week.
• Full-time role: 4–5 days per week (Monday–Friday, 7 am–4 pm).
• No call and no weekend clinical responsibilities.
• Mobile practice covering a 40–60 mile radius from Warsaw, MO.
• Typically 2–3 facilities per day, 20–30 patients per day.

Pay

W2 full-time physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits. (This figure reflects full-time compensation; part-time compensation would be prorated.)
