Internal Medicine Physician

About the role

Part-Time Internal Medicine Physician position with a National Wound Physician Group in Charlottesville, VA, offering clinical satisfaction, autonomy and flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside wound management in the post-acute care setting: Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility
• Visit 2-3 facilities per day treating approximately 20-30 patients per day
• Perform clinical documentation at point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using proprietary wound specific EMR
• Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week

Qualifications

• Become an expert in wound management through training from highly qualified wound certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors
• Complete paid training during onboarding plus a 6-month wound care fellowship

Schedule

• Part-time role: minimum of 3 days per week
• Full-time role: 4 – 5 days per week
• No call / No weekend clinical responsibilities
• Mobile practice: physicians visit facilities in a 40 – 60 mile radius of practice location
• Full-time physicians work a 45-hour work week (Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm)

Pay

• W2 full-time physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits
