Internal Medicine Physician
Position Description
New Horizon Family Health Services, Inc. is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) established in 1992. We provide quality healthcare services to individuals seeking a family doctor and a medical home.
About the Role
This position is for an Internal Medicine Physician who will work in an outpatient FQHC setting. The role includes a guaranteed base salary plus quarterly incentive potential, dedicated administrative time, and EMR – Athena.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat diseases and injuries
- Administer administrative practices and procedures
- Implement public health and preventative care guidelines
- Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
- Supervise professional and non-professional employees
Requirements
- Successfully completed medical training at an accredited Medical School and received an M.D. or D.O. degree
- Licensed to practice Medicine in South Carolina
- Board-Certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Internal Medicine-Pediatrics
- BLS CPR certified
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of diagnostic and treatment techniques
- Working knowledge of administrative practices and procedures
- Knowledge of public health and preventative care guidelines
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to relate warmly and compassionately to patients and co-workers
- Ability to supervise employees effectively
