Internal Medicine Physician

About the role

Full time position in a physician-led organization. Clinic hours are Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm. Located in Morehead City, NC; reliable commute or willingness to relocate before start date is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, quality medical care to patients
• Exercise independent professional judgement in the care and treatment of patients
• Order and prescribe medical treatment, diagnostic testing, ancillary team, and other health/medical services
• Prescribe medically appropriate pharmaceuticals
• Consult and counsel patients and families
• Provide health and medical education to patients and families
• Refer patients as needed to appropriate medical specialists and other healthcare professionals to assure multidisciplinary care is provided
• Document medical and clinical care in the patient's medical record
• Assign the appropriate diagnosis and procedural codes to permit third‑party insurance billing
• Adhere to the principles of medical ethics

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited MD or DO program (or accredited school of medicine)
• North Carolina State medical license required, or ability to obtain
• DEA registration
• BLS certification

Qualifications

• Primary care experience
• Licensed as a Physician in the state of North Carolina (preferred)
• Internal Medicine specialty

Schedule

8‑hour shift, Monday to Friday, with on‑call responsibilities.
