Internal Medicine Physician

Location: Carmel, Indiana (15 minutes north of Indianapolis)

About the role

This is an exceptional opportunity for an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to join an employed position within a highly regarded practice, supported by the full resources of a robust health system network. Join an established practice with an existing patient panel.

• Call structure: 24/7 with the possibility of sharing with another physician, minimal call volume
• Practice setting: Outpatient
• Employed position within a nonprofit health system
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration

Responsibilities

• Deliver Personalized, High-Touch Care: Utilize extended appointment times (30 to 60 minutes) to conduct thorough wellness exams and acute care visits
• Champion a Proactive Wellness Model: Lead a membership-based clinical approach that shifts the focus from reactive "sick care" to proactive health management, helping patients optimize their well-being through personalized, comprehensive care plans
• Maintain a Manageable, High-Quality Practice: Manage a small, sustainable patient panel (cap of 300-600 total), allowing you to provide exceptional continuity of care while enjoying a balanced lifestyle that honors your time and professional boundaries

• Enjoy a standard Monday-Friday work week (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM)

• No hospital duties, no RVUs

Requirements

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required
• Advanced Life Support preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required
