Internal Medicine Physician

About the role

Adfinitas is seeking a talented Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine physician to join their established post-acute team in the Wilkes-Barre, Scranton, and Kingston areas of Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to post-acute patients in a skilled nursing facility setting.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions, focusing on geriatric care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ensure adherence to high ethical standards and healthcare compliance.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training programs.

Requirements

• Geriatric fellowship trained or board certified in geriatrics.
• Open to working in the post-acute setting, with prior geriatric experience considered.
• Board eligible/Board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including use of email.
• Team-oriented attitude towards patient care.

• Strong computer skills, including various EMR systems.
• Active State license, DEA, and state CSR.

Pay

Salary and bonus structure varies based on position type (full-time, part-time, PRN).

Schedule

Monday through Friday schedule available.
