About The Facility
Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis (86th Street) is our flagship 800+ bed facility and a Level 1 Trauma Center. It serves as a regional hub with 8 Centers of Excellence, including the Heart Center, Transplant Center, and the Lucas Family Brain & Spine Hospital. As a comprehensive medical destination, it also houses a dedicated Burn Center and is recognized for its advanced clinical capabilities across all adult specialties.
How you’ll make an impact in this role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Internal Medicine Hospitalist to join an employed position within Ascension St. Vincent’s flagship location. High-Acuity Clinical Exposure: Practice at a premier Level 1 trauma center and 800+ bed flagship facility, covering diverse adult units including the burn center and the new brain and spine center.
Requirements
- Licensure / Certification / Registration: Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Education Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Additional Preferences We’re Seeking
- Internal Medicine Focus: While rare exceptions are made for FM, the team strongly prefers IM-trained candidates.
- New Grads Welcome: We are open to considering motivated new graduates looking to start their careers in a high-volume academic environment.
- Experience: Previous hospitalist experience is considered a plus.
