Internal Communications Intern

About the role

7-Eleven is seeking a Corporate Communications intern to support the Internal Communications team in delivering clear, engaging and timely messaging to store support employees and non-store audiences. This project-based role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact initiatives, including planning for 7‑Eleven’s centennial celebration.

Responsibilities

• Assist with content creation for the company intranet
• Draft and distribute internal emails using platforms such as Poppulo and Unily
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support enterprise‑wide communications
• Help reinforce company culture and strategic messaging while gaining hands‑on experience in corporate communications strategy and execution

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Communications, Journalism or related field
• Strong writing skills with the ability to craft clear, engaging and audience‑appropriate content
• Familiarity with AP style preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and SharePoint
• Interest in internal communications and corporate messaging
• Willingness to learn and collaborate in a fast‑paced environment

Schedule

This is a summer internship lasting approximately 11 weeks.
