Partner with an external Business Consultant to compose, develop, and implement programs that help advisors build their business and increase John Hancock Investments AUM. Strategically manage a territory, providing insight, advice, practice management ideas, and product updates to registered representatives.
Responsibilities
- Analyze advisor portfolios to uncover opportunities and potential issues, leveraging strong research and analytic capabilities.
- Research competitor products, gain proficiency in them, and understand their fit within clients’ portfolios.
- Use tools such as Morningstar Workstation, Morningstar Advisor Portal, and John Hancock Portfolio Insight to provide analysis and advice for improving portfolio construction.
- Review advisor websites, LinkedIn, and data packs to personalize practice management and business-building solutions.
- Participate in roundtable discussions and feedback sessions to grow industry knowledge and product expertise.
- Maintain competitive intelligence by attending meetings and engaging with internal departments to understand John Hancock’s strategies.
- Lead projects for department initiatives, implementing new processes and strategies.
- Mentor new Inside Wholesalers and assist in the development, implementation, and delivery of training classes for the Investments sales desk.
- Act as a liaison for Funds, Firm, Separate Accounts, and Marketing, relaying a positive attitude about department initiatives.
- Prioritize work to focus on the largest opportunities, using segmentation information to target high-potential prospects in a given territory.
Requirements
- FINRA Series 7 and 63, 65, or 66 required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 1–5 years of sales/consulting experience, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Solid understanding and expertise in mutual funds, ETFs, UCITS, 529 College Savings Plans, and Separately Managed Accounts.

Pay
Salary range is expected to be between $45,000.00 USD and $75,000.00 USD, with additional opportunity to earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary based on local market conditions, geography, and job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
