Internal Auditor
About the role
As an Audit Personnel at Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS), you will assist in planning, scheduling, directing, and conducting financial, performance, information systems, and subcontract audits. You will evaluate compliance with policies, procedures, DOE regulations, Federal Acquisition Regulations, and the Prime Contract. You will also perform adequate testing, prepare audit reports, and implement corrective actions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute audit plans and schedules
- Conduct financial, performance, and information systems audits
- Evaluate compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations
- Prepare audit reports and recommendations for improvement
- Ensure audit workpapers are accurate and complete
- Perform follow-up reviews to verify implementation of corrective actions
- Interpret professional audit standards and government regulations
- Design and execute detailed testing to assess system and process effectiveness
- Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field
- At least two years of relevant experience in a government, commercial, or public accounting role
- Prior internal audit experience is preferred
- Knowledge of Defense Contract Audit Manual, FAR, DEAR, CAS, and GAAP
- Ability to grasp business processes quickly and interpret data through analysis and interviews
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop creative solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
Required qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field
- Master's degree in relevant field is desirable
- Certifications such as CPA, CIA, CMA, CFE, or CISA are preferred

Pay
The salary range for this role is $59,040 - $82,788, with the actual offer based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
