Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist with the drafting of engagement documents including but not limited to planning documents, Risk and Control Matrices, test templates, emails for support requests or follow up procedures, stakeholder presentations, and final reports/communications.
- Lead SOX walkthroughs and manage completion of testing for entire processes.
- Develop documentation for new processes including drafting narratives and identification of risks and controls.
- Assist with the development of audit steps during fieldwork.
- Show initiative in identifying and completing needed audit tasks.
- Utilize prior year audit workpapers, and industry and company knowledge to assist with the successful completion of all audit planning and fieldwork activities.
- Complete detailed audit testing, ask questions and provide progress updates to the audit lead to ensure objectives of testing are being fulfilled.
- Demonstrate effective time management skills by completing tasks on time and foresee and communicate needed due date adjustments in a timely manner.
- Communicate project status updates and any findings or observations are as they are identified.
- Contribute to team meetings including fraud/risk brainstorming meetings.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong understanding of internal control concepts.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of SOX experience.
- Public Accounting experience required.
- Public Company experience preferred.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field (required).
- 2-3 years of relevant audit experience in public accounting or internal audit.
