About the role
The Internal Advisor Consultant (IAC) partners closely with Advisor Consultants to build business partnerships within a defined geographic territory. This role involves maintaining current client assets, driving sales, cross-selling advisors, and converting prospects to clients.
Responsibilities
- Develops consultative relationships with Financial Advisors, branch office managers, and sales managers.
- Coordinates with Advisor Consultants to develop business and territory management plans.
- Initiates outbound calls, emails, and web conferences to market, educate, and promote the company’s suite of products.
- Profiles advisors and understands the company’s sales process.
- Manages the team’s pipeline and leads weekly calls to discuss follow-ups and movement of opportunities through the pipeline funnel.
- Collaborates across the internal team and shares best practices with team members.
- Documents all Advisor activity in the customer management system and updates calendars.
- Supports broader campaigns, initiatives, and blitzes for the entire product suite including Managed Accounts, Mutual Funds, Closed End Funds, Exchange Traded Funds, Alternatives, DCIO, etc.
Requirements
- University (Degree) Preferred
- 2+ Years Required; 3+ Years Preferred
- FINRA Registrations: SRC Indicator: Series 7; Series 63; Series 65; Series 66
Qualifications
- Experience: 2 years of experience in Securities sales within the Financial Services industry; Series 7 & 66 (or combination of 63 & 65)
- Education: Bachelor's degree
- Skills: Strong combination of sales and analytical skills; significant knowledge of the financial markets; excellent communication skills; ability to profile clients; excellent planning, organization, and time management skills; ability to analyze and prioritize large amounts of information
