Intern (year-round) - Medicare Advantage Servicing

About the role

This position involves supporting the Team Leader IIs by pulling reports from the scoreboard, creating huddle rollouts, supporting BlueStar Rewards, and assisting other team members. It also requires occasional travel to Southfield for in-person meetings.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Team Leader IIs by pulling reports from the scoreboard
• Creating and running huddle meetings
• Serving as a support for BlueStar Rewards
• Assisting other team members with various tasks
• Preparing information and research materials to identify business problems and offer recommendations
• Participating in projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization
• Analyzing business goals, objectives, and needs within the organization
• Engaging in networking events with BCBSM leaders and other interns
• Participating in volunteer activities and community outreach
• Maintaining confidentiality of information
• Using Microsoft Office suites and relevant BCBSM systems
• Maintaining effective working relationships

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate or graduate student with a 3.0 GPA or higher
• Enrolled in a college/university or a Master’s/PhD program for the duration of the internship
• Effective verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites and relevant BCBSM systems
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
