Intern: Wiring Harness Project Engineer

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supports project coordination, data analysis, and cross-functional communication to help engineering teams operate efficiently.
  • Organize project schedules, maintain documentation, and track action items to ensure tasks stay on track.
  • Gather and analyze project data—such as timelines, costs, and resource usage—to identify risks or bottlenecks and prepare clear reports or dashboards for project managers and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication among engineering, product, and operations teams by following up on deliverables, supporting meetings, and assisting with planning activities like design reviews or project sessions.

About the Role

This position is fully remote. Supports project coordination, data analysis, and cross-functional communication to help engineering teams operate efficiently. The intern will organize project schedules, maintain documentation, and track action items to ensure tasks stay on track. They will gather and analyze project data such as timelines, costs, and resource usage to identify risks or bottlenecks and prepare clear reports or dashboards for project managers and stakeholders. They will facilitate communication among engineering, product, and operations teams by following up on deliverables, supporting meetings, and assisting with planning activities like design reviews or project sessions.

Requirements

  • Must be actively working towards a BS degree (or seeking) in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Manufacturing Industrial, or Agricultural/biological (machinery focused) Engineering preferred.
  • Average GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Attention to detail / organization skills.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, Google Sheets, and Creo preferred.
  • Strong desire to take on new challenges with a positive attitude.
  • Aptitude for working in groups and collaborating.
  • Familiar with Computer Aided Drafting, Kanban and work organization, Wiring Schematics, Electrical knowledge, Excel (soft skills), programming (Python), Ability to use tools, experience in automotive a plus.

  • Flexible work schedule but prefer Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.
