Primary Responsibilities
- Use hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing equipment to join metal components.
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
- Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
- Examine workpieces for defects and measure with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.

What You're Working With
- Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits at all times.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Maintain a safe and hazard-free workplace in accordance with OSHA requirements.
Education and Experience
- Beginner mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of welding tools and torches.
- High School diploma and currently enrolled in a Trade/Technical School.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and pass a drug screen.
