Intern - Transportation Roadway Fall 2026

WGI is looking for a Fall 2026 Intern to join our Transportation Roadway team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. We offer paid internships for college students, providing a well-rounded learning environment that enhances classroom education with hands-on experience. You’ll gain practical experience on real projects for WGI’s private and public clients, bridging the gap between academics and the professional work environment while developing skills to navigate everyday work scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Work on challenging projects requiring collaboration within and across departments
• Contribute to team projects and individual tasks in your discipline
• Adhere to company policies, including punctuality and dependability
• Perform additional responsibilities based on experience
• Adapt to varied work environments, including indoor, outdoor, and project locations

Requirements

• Completed at least two years of an accredited college program in a related field
• Solid PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and/or MicroStation is a plus
• Must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis (WGI does not sponsor employment visas)

Physical Demands

The role is primarily performed in an office setting. Essential functions include:

• Hand-eye coordination for computer, keyboard, and mouse operation
• Use of a telephone headset for virtual communication (Zoom, Microsoft Teams)
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods, handle objects, and reach with hands and arms
• Required vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment
