Intern (Transportation Highway - Summer 2027)

About the role

Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C., is seeking an Intern to join our Transportation-Highway practice area in our Albany, NY office for the summer of 2027.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of traffic studies and analysis
• Conduct field surveys and data collection
• Support project documentation and report writing
• Participate in team meetings and discussions
• Assist with research and literature reviews

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field
• Strong academic performance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for transportation engineering

Qualifications

• Highly motivated and proactive
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Skills

• Basic proficiency in GIS software
• Experience with traffic engineering software (e.g., MicroSTRM, HEC-RAS)
• Knowledge of traffic engineering principles and practices

Pay

• Estimated Pay Range: $21-23/hour
• Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
