Intern - Technical Production Operations Engineer

About the role

This on-site internship/co-op in Wakefield, MA supports Production Support Operations by monitoring automated processes, identifying issues, and assisting in troubleshooting. You will work closely with senior team members, follow documented procedures, and contribute to process improvement initiatives while gaining hands-on experience in the financial services industry.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support automated batch processing jobs
• Assist in troubleshooting and issue resolution under senior guidance
• Document technical procedures and update knowledge bases
• Escalate issues appropriately and collaborate with technical teams for resolution
• Communicate with internal teams and contribute to proactive issue prevention
• Manage client expectations with excellent communication skills
• Partner with internal departments to deliver superior customer service
• Support documentation development and refinement
• Participate in shift work, potentially including evenings and early mornings as part of a 24/7 support team

Schedule

4:00 AM EST to 12:00 PM EST or 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM EST.

Required Experience and Skills

• Interest in technical operations and enterprise software support
• Knowledge, understanding and/or interest in the financial sector

Desired Technical Skills

• Experience with MS Windows, SQL, or Dynatrace
• Ability to balance and manage multiple, competing priorities
• Collaborative interpersonal skills and ability to work within cross-functional teams
• Self-starter who can display good judgment to plan and accomplish goals in a complex, fast-paced environment
• Creative problem-solving and analysis skills
• Ability to handle problem situations quickly, inventively, and resourcefully

Education

Progress toward a BA or BS degree (BS in Finance or Computer Science is a plus)

Pay

Salary range: $19 USD – $22 USD
