About the role

The Systems Engineer Summer Intern will support the planning, analysis, design, testing, and evaluation of complex systems and system architectures. This role offers hands-on experience working with engineering teams to develop operational concepts, test strategies, implementation plans, and technical presentations. The intern will gain exposure to the full systems engineering lifecycle while contributing to technical problem-solving and customer-focused engineering efforts.

Responsibilities

• Perform operational analysis and develop concept of operations, design and implementation plans
• Develop test plans, procedures, and cases
• Conduct tests and document results
• Use software tools, scripting, and software/hardware troubleshooting
• Analyze systems requirements from end systems and users
• Support development and evaluation of complex system designs and architectures
• Develop and deliver presentations to communicate design activity plans and status to internal and external customers

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, or related field at an accredited university

Skills

• Coursework and/or experience in systems engineering, systems architecture, systems analysis and design, system performance modeling, integration, and/or project management, and/or model-based systems engineering
• Familiarity with Rhapsody

Schedule

9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days—totaling 80 hours worked—and have every other Friday off.
