Intern - Studio Crew

About the role

KUTV, Utah’s #1 news station, seeks Studio Production Interns to gain hands-on experience in the control room and on the studio set. This unpaid internship involves observing and participating in live newscasts daily.

Responsibilities

• Observe and assist in the production of live newscasts
• Gain insight into the behind-the-scenes workings of a news station
• Participate actively in daily operations within the newsroom

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a journalism, mass communications, communications, film, or related field
• Strong interest in the fast-paced world of news

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Interest in broadcast journalism

Skills

• Basic knowledge of video editing software
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
