About the role

Headquartered in downtown Phoenix, Player 15 Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Special Events Intern to join our team. In this role, you will support all facets of Special Events for Player 15 Group, while playing a key role in broader department initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Help with administrative duties such as preparing event materials, managing RSVP lists, developing run of shows, event budgeting, and updating event documentation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments on various requests within each event (e.g. marketing, creative, building operations).
  • Support on-site event activities, including setup, breakdown, and managing event flow. Ensure that all elements of the event run smoothly and according to the plan.

  • Work closely with inter-departments and third-party vendors to support member and partner events, hospitality and in-market activations.
  • Provide exceptional service to event guests, including greeting attendees and addressing inquiries.
  • Regular travel in-market to support department (e.g. vendor/client pickups and drop-offs).
  • Participate in post-event evaluations to gather feedback and insights for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Previous experience in event planning or hospitality is a plus but not required. A genuine interest in the events industry and a willingness to learn are highly valued.
  • Flexible schedule, with the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed based on event schedules.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with event management software is an advantage.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality service and creating a positive guest experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be a college junior, senior, or enrolled in a master’s program.
  • Pursuing a hospitality, event management, or sports-related degree (preferred).
