Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to callers by answering the 24-hour crisis line.
- Provide information and referrals to clients and callers.
- Provide legal and medical advocacy.
Qualifications
- Education: Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a Human Services program.
- Experience: No prior experience required.
- Skills and Competencies: Excellent organizational skills; communication, interpersonal skills; professional appearance and presentation; ability to perform and coordinate multiple tasks and work with minimal supervision; typing and data entry skills; experience in Word, Excel programs; proper English usage, spelling, and English composition; demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion; ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Benefits
This is an unpaid internship based out of our Green Bay location for students enrolled in human services programs. Interns are required to maintain 30-minute response time to downtown Green Bay for on-call shifts. A valid Wisconsin Driver's License with a reliable personal vehicle is required, along with maintaining required auto insurance and an acceptable driving record.
Pay
The position is unpaid.
Schedule
The shift is First Shift (Day), with hours per week: 20.
