Intern - Respiratory

Role Overview This position provides essential equipment and supplies across the facility to ensure optimal patient care, adhering to Infection Control and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include monitoring, inventory management, restocking supplies, processing requisitions, and participating in physical inventories. The role involves maintaining equipment, ensuring safety, performing quality control checks, and supporting hospital policies. Additionally, the technician performs general housekeeping and sterilization procedures, maintains work areas, and ensures equipment operates safely. The position may also include performing EKGs as needed. Qualifications & Skills Enrolled in a CAAHEP or CoARC-approved Respiratory Therapy program, in good standing.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 14 days of hire.Ability to understand and support departmental policies and standards.Strong organizational, safety, and equipment maintenance skills.Ability to perform quality control and basic clinical tasks such as EKGs. Key Duties Monitor and restock hospital supplies and equipment.Maintain inventory levels and process requisitions.Perform sterilization, quality control, and safety procedures.Support compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of equipment and work areas.Assist with clinical tasks such as EKGs when required.
