Intern - Respiratory

About the role

This position is responsible for ensuring the hospital is stocked with necessary equipment and supplies to support optimal patient care, while adhering to Infection Control and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, inventory, and restock equipment and supplies across the hospital.
• Maintain PAR levels for sterile and unsterile supplies, process requisitions, and deliver supplies.
• Participate in inventory management and process returned items appropriately.
• Support departmental policies, perform housekeeping, and maintain sterilization and quality control standards.
• Ensure safe equipment operation and maintain work areas.
• Perform quality checks and environmental safety assessments.
• Perform EKGs as needed.
• Maintain compliance with hospital, DNV, and other standards.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a CAAHEP or CoARC-approved Respiratory Therapy program as a second-semester student.
• Certification in BLS within 14 days of hire.
• Ability to perform inventory management, equipment maintenance, and basic patient care functions.
• Strong adherence to policies and safety standards.
