Full-time

About the role

The DRAM Lithography team develops and optimizes advanced photolithography processes that support current and future semiconductor manufacturing technology. As a DRAM Lithography Intern, you will contribute to projects focused on advancing next-generation semiconductor manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with engineers across Photolithography, Metrology, Dry Etch, Wet Process, and other process areas to develop innovative solutions for process optimization and technology development. During the internship, you will complete one or more technical projects with opportunities to apply AI and data-driven approaches to complex manufacturing challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute experiments (DOE) to optimize photolithography processes, including EUV lithography, photoresist performance, and related process technologies.
  • Plan, run, and document experiments in a semiconductor cleanroom environment using advanced process equipment.
  • Analyze process images and manufacturing data using commercial and in-house software tools, including AI-enabled methodologies where appropriate.
  • Support projects focused on photolithography simulations, process window optimization, overlay improvement, and critical dimension uniformity (CDU) performance.
  • Communicate project plans, technical findings, and recommendations through written reports and presentations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field relevant to photolithography.
  • Must be enrolled in an academic program and continuing education through Fall 2027.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills through coursework, research, or project experience.
  • Ability to work independently, manage project timelines, and deliver results in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework or hands-on experience in photolithography, semiconductor manufacturing, or related process technologies.
  • Experience with AI, Artificial Intelligence, data science, programming, statistics, or data analysis.
  • Experience applying AI-enabled or data-driven techniques to research, process development, modeling, or optimization challenges.
  • Strong interest in research and development with demonstrated ability to develop practical technology solutions.
  • Experience analyzing experimental data, process characterization results, or semiconductor metrology measurements.
