Intern (NPI Engineering)

Responsibilities

• Supports R&D and NPI activities, including generating work instructions, procedures, and programming coatings.
• Qualifies and processes qualification parts through various process steps such as chemical and mechanical operations.
• Develops and maintains process documents, drawings, and training materials.
• Assists in the design and development of production tooling (fixtures, baskets, etc.) for efficient part processing.
• Supports on-the-job training and participates in projects to improve systems, operations, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical or Materials Engineering.
• Prior internship or project experience in a manufacturing or product design environment is advantageous.

• Collaborative working style with individuals at all levels.
• Demonstrated understanding of production, engineering, and quality initiatives, along with safety and quality practices.
• High-level troubleshooting skills and hands-on problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read and identify critical quality characteristics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and other relevant software.

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is $20-$25 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
