Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Follows all EH&S standards, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Executes designed experiments and work instructions to gather data for process qualification, process changes and customer evaluations.
- Develops and maintains process documents, drawings, etc.
- Evaluates, and assists in the design of production tooling (fixtures, baskets, etc.) required for safe, efficient & effective part processing.
- Assists in the development of training material and supports on the job training (OJT).
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels.
- Demonstrable understanding of production, engineering & quality initiatives and with safety & quality practices.
- Able to complete assignments in a timely manner while adhering to deadlines and with a sense of urgency.
- High level troubleshooting skills coupled with hands-on approach to solving problems.
- Able to read drawings and identify critical quality characteristics.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and other software.
Education/Certification Requirement
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical or Materials engineering.
Work Experience Requirements
- Prior internship, or project experience in a manufacturing or product design environment is an advantage.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
- The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is required to sit; climb stairs, maintain balance; employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust optical focus.
Travel Requirements
- Limited off-site and/or overnight travel away from primary work location may be required.
