Intern New Markets
About the role
The internship will assist New Markets with lending and product development programs. It offers a hybrid work environment with up to 50% remote work, flexible schedules, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
Responsibilities
- Assists with program projects, such as GroundBreakers (Young, Beginning and Small Farmers Program).
- Researches programs and practices of other Farm Credit associations and financial institutions.
- Reviews written reports for applicable federal programs within USDA, FSA, etc.
- Sets program details and criteria for Compeer based on research findings.
- Analyzes the FCA YBS Annual Report against Compeer results.
Requirements
- Working towards completion of bachelor's or associate's degree in agricultural business, business administration, finance, economics, or data science.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Solid organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem-solving skills, and time management required.
- Detail-oriented, accuracy, and attention to detail are essential.
Qualifications
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
- Must be enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution.
Skills
- Strong computer skills, particularly MS Office applications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data.

Pay
Actual hourly rate offered is dependent upon year in school, work experience, transferable skills, business needs, and market demands. The hourly rate range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Base Pay: $19 - $20 USD.
Schedule
This is a part-time position during the school year and full-time during the summer of 2027. The internship is located in one of Compeer Financial’s offices in Sun Prairie, WI; Prairie du Sac, WI; or Naperville, IL.
