About the role
Intern will assist habitat staff with the management of native prairie. This will include native seed harvesting, locating potential harvesting collection sites, photo point monitoring, prescribing fire, invasive plant management, grazing monitoring and other jobs assigned.

Requirements
- Current part-time or full-time student in an upcoming semester or immediately preceding semester
- Knowledge of plant identification
- Experience driving trucks and off-road vehicles (preferred but not required)
- Enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time of application
- Completed one year (nine months) of chosen program by the start of the internship
Qualifications
- Standing of junior/senior preferred
- South Dakota resident preferred
- Student of South Dakota institution preferred
Skills
- Plant identification
- Driving skills (preferred but not required)
