Land Development Intern position in Halff’s Frisco, TX office. The internship runs June 7, 2027 – August 13, 2027.

About the role

The Civil Engineer Intern will assist with the design and construction observation of public and private infrastructure projects, including roadways, drainage systems, civil site work, public parks, and trails facilities.

What You Will Do

• Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
• Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water/Wastewater, Public Works, and Land Development projects
• Perform drafting CAD work
• Perform calculations and analysis for design projects
• Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
• Coordinate with surveyors, architects, contractors, and other team members
• Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies

What You Will Need

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or an ABET-accredited equivalent
• Strong communication skills
• Solid relationship-building and teamwork skills
• Self-motivated with strong organizational abilities
